The Project: “Ingresso.com” Agile Usability Test

Client: Ingressos.com

Ingresso.com is a Brazilian company that provides services of online sale of movie tickets, shows, soccer games and cultural events through the internet and has more than 6 million registered customers. Oficial website.

The Usability study objectives:

The study investigates the navigational structure and the experience of using the site through the perception of the users. The expectations of these users regarding the services presented, as well as the needs of the available tools and contents.

The study aimed to explore the objectives below on Ingresso.com:

  • Check the general perception of end users regarding the current Ingresso.com website.
  • Evaluate the Site with end users, having as criteria:
    • Navigation
    • Ease of use and location
    • Functionality
    • User Feedback
    • Graphic Design / Layout
    • Accessibility
  • Detect factors that block, delay or hinder the process of use, access to services and completion of purchase processes.
  • Analyze the expectations of the clients’ audience at the time prior to the study.
  • Analyze the level of customer satisfaction of clients at the time subsequent to the use of the Site.
  • Generate information and design recommendations and experience that enable the development of the new Information Architecture of the Site.

The following research methodologies were used in this study:

  • In-depth interview
  • Observation of participants
  • Verbal Protocol ‘Think aloud’ (participants are invited to verbalize their thoughts while interacting with the tools)
  • Agile tasks performed during the study
  • Reporting of interviews with participants
  • Completion of questionnaires (expressions of preference)
  • Participants were invited to complete the tasks and then evaluate the interfaces of the sites based on their experiences during the tests.

My duties on the project:

As a UX Designer, I performed the following tasks:

  • Assistance in all user research processes
  • Assistance in assembling and managing the usability lab facility
  • Development of user questionnaires
  • Observation of user tasks performed during the usability test
  • Development of the final usability study report

The results for this usability study are confidential and it is Ingresso.com’s property.
