What is the project?
“Look at Yourself” is part of a project developed by the research group in Art, Science and Technology, LAB|Front. (Authors: Pablo Gobira, Antônio Mozelli, William Melo)
It is an artistic installation in immersive virtual reality. Through the imprisonment of the gaze within a human head simulated in a three-dimensional environment, the installation intends to investigate the relation of sensoriality and its limits present in the dialogue with the representation of a human body in transformation and the lack of control in face of its transformations.
My challenges and responsibilities
As a developer I programmed the interactivity inside the installation’s virtual environment. The operation of the installation has as data input the movements performed through the head of the user, and as data output actions taken in the cyberspace of the installation. In addition, the installation’s sound design was developed using speech synthesis software for reading and recombining a poem worked with generative algorithms.

- Programming using C# in the Unity IDE
- Tests with Google Cardboard
