About me

Hi there! Thanks for visiting!

I’m Antônio Mozelli, a Brazilian Experience Designer and creative developer based in Canada.

I come from a multidisciplinary background in Arts, Design and Technology. As a UX Designer, I have been improving companies’ digital products and services by designing and developing better user experiences, processes, and strategies. I’m comfortable with skills such as user research, user flows, visual design, prototyping, information architecture and usability testing.

As a creative developer, I am familiar with the front-end development processes in different technologies and frameworks. I have also experience developing virtual reality environments using Unity, and I am an enthusiast of mobile Development, especially iOS Development.

During my professional career in Brazil, I have worked for three years as a research fellow and developer at the Brazilian research group on Art, Science and Technology, the LAB | Front. There, I had the chance to explore the use of immersive virtual reality, creative coding, Artificial Intelligence, and UX applied to art projects and curatorship processes. In addition, I had the chance to attend and present papers at many international research conferences such as ISEA, IEEE ISMAR, IADS and the Brazilian Digital Arts Seminar, in which I was part of the technical committee.

I first moved to Canada In 2018 when I was awarded a scholarship from the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP Scholarship – Global Affairs Canada ) to conduct studies at the Data Materialization Studio at OCAD University. Later I also had the opportunity to update my skills with an Interactive Media Management program at the School of Design at George Brown College in Toronto. I believe that having the chance to pursue a degree in Computer Science and later in Visual Arts and Design made me realize how important it is for STEM graduate students to develop empathy through a digital humanities formation. I strongly believe in those study areas’ multidisciplinarity and how critical this knowledge is for our society today.

I’m a curious person, and I believe my curiosity has pushed me to try new paths and possibilities during my life. I also like photography, biking, and a good day under the sunlight, and I keep breaking some of my things to see how it works inside.
